Every closing has its own story, and this one in particular was full of unforeseen situations that, while seemingly complicated, were resolved with effort and creativity. From a late client to mortgage and escrow issues, this was a challenging process that was completed with perseverance and an innovative solution.
This closing started with a double appointment where a client arrived late after I offered him a half hour before an appointment with other buyers. Despite the inconvenience, the clients who arrived were very receptive and ended up loving the property, resulting in an appointment that lasted much longer than expected.
The client who arrived late showed interest in the property, but complications arose when he requested that the owner issue a letter regarding the value of the property in order to secure a larger bank loan. After some legal wrangling, the situation was resolved with a proposal that the buyer use his new property as collateral for the loan.
Although I was out of the country at the time, I stayed in contact with the attorneys and managed the details of the closing remotely. In the end, the closing was successful, which was very satisfying after so many setbacks.
This closing reminded me that although the process can be complicated, there is always a solution with patience, creativity and the right support.
