Mexican Seasoning

You can’t forget the name “Distrito Federal“, this restaurant takes you to experience all the Mexican culture in every dish. It is a trip to Mexico in every bite. Keyla Murillo and Armando Gómez, husband and wife, are the owners of Distrito Federal, found the key of how to gather the essence of this country in a restaurant.

Gómez besides being one of the owners, is also the chef of the place. From time to time, approximately every month, he tries to diversify the menu, changing certain dishes to please customers tastes. But for him, Mexican cuisine is one of the most varied and creative in the world, so it is a challenge for him as owner and chef. His wife,  is his own taster, while he is his own judge.

“Sometimes I am not happy, sometimes I get bored with the same dish and I change it again. My mother-in-law makes the tortillas, she is from Michoacán so she knows how to make them and deserves all the honor and is a very important part. She is a bulwark, the kitchen is made of very important pieces like everyone who works here”.

You can’t miss the opportunity to try the machetes, volcanoes and northern mocajete; as well as Mexican seafood, which is rarely seen in Mexican restaurants in the country, so you should visit Distrito Federal.

Exquisiteness and exclusivity

If you are a lobster lover, in Costa Rica you can enjoy lobster claw meat, with which you are going to live a sensation, this in Logan’s Lobster restaurant.

Luis Jaikel, owner of this restaurant ventured into the gastronomic world innovating since it is the first restaurant in our country that serves original lobster meat, which is imported from New England, United States.

Costa Rican lobsters do not have claws, which is why this dish is full of exquisiteness and exclusivity. The bread that is used is handmade and made there. It has the New England style that allows its flavor to be subdued so that it does not take away the protagonism of the lobster and is very soft. It is toasted in a panini machine and buttered with lemon on the sides to enhance its flavor.

“The lobster claw meat is quite different and particular. It’s softer and a little bit sweeter than lobster tail. The experience is very different if you haven’t had lobster roll. For those who like lobster tail better they are also offered on our menu.”

Logan’s Lobster has managed to stay in the area despite the pandemic thanks to their ability to diversify in their availability of dishes. Part of this is that in the next few days they will be coming out with a new concept, including sushi. This will be made with real crab, not surimi, which is what is normally used in other restaurants.
