Nativu Fincas is the Nativu Costa Rica team focused on identifying and connecting markets for the sale, purchase, and investment of farms and projects. In parallel, our team and sales force manage clients and investors suitable for each specific farm.
It’s a work of passion. Those of us who work in the sector with farms and productive agricultural endeavors get to know a beautiful part of Costa Rica, with plenty of challenges but great opportunity as well.
During the representation process, the team of advisors participates in the accompaniment, monitoring and eventual sale of farms. It has the best tools in each of the evaluation, negotiation and closing stages until a successful feeling and experience is achieved. For that, we have focused the different possibilities of farms in 3 large groups or categories:
1. Productive Farms
These are farms actively in production, with significant activity in any of the possible areas. Usually, they are farms or projects that already have contracts or customers that buy the production or the result of their activity. This group includes productive farms:
- Agricultural
- Poultry
- Cattle farmers (meat, milk, and others).
- Aquaculture (fish and shellfish for nutrition)
- Forestry
- Energy Production.
2. Farms for Development
The farms for development represented by the NATIVU team are farms of potential value or currently destined for a development activity, such as:
- Hospitality Industry.
- Tourist activities.
- Industrial.
- Commercial.
- Residential Real Estate
3. Conservation Farms
These are properties intended for conservation activities of wildlife, flora, fauna, rivers and lakes. It is intended that these farms manage to certify with some explicit local or international regime for the effort of conservation and preservation of nature.
Likewise, it is even more fascinating, when in the same project or farm different operational activities are carried out within the described categories, which enhances the possibility of achieving a commercial agreement in which everyone wins.
One of the properties registered in Nativu Fincas – Hacienda Agropecuaria Rio San Carlos – is a large project in the San Carlos area that meets all the requirements outlined above, since its main activity, after preserving and conserving the natural forest of the zone, has areas dedicated to reforestation. In both cases, under the conservation scheme of the Fonafifo PSA program.
This develops other projects such as: breeding and development of beef cattle; It has an important area where a palm oil plantation currently in harvest operates; commercial logging of adult (mature) forest plantations; In addition to the facilities of the farm and natural beauty that surrounds the area, the option of investing in rural adventure and education tourism is enhanced.

Other types of farms for sale
We are looking for properties that meet some basic requirements such as farms larger than 10 hectares; farms that are of continuous accessibility throughout the year; farms that their legal and legal status are in order. With this and other basic aspects, we guarantee that our efforts in monitoring and attention during the marketing process will be the best in time and achieve our goals for our customers.
Yes. Certainly a very difficult task since Costa Rica is a country with farms, landscapes of beaches and mountains; people so beautiful and special that we must strive to attend and take care of our asset that is the Earth. This is where we put our extensive experience in farms and our technical knowledge at the service of our customers.
